WE SHALL FIGHT ON THE MARNE
First Marne, 1914
We Shall Fight on the Marne is an operational level simulation of the First Marne, 1914 for two players or solitaire. Having invaded Belgium and northeastern France, the German army had reached within 30 miles of Paris. With victory seemingly near, the German First Army was instructed to encircle Paris from the east. Thus began the battle of the First Marne.

"...(there is) a surprising degree of depth and richness that is perhaps unexpected for such a small game. Getting the historical basis right is half the battle and distilling it down into a small game without dumbing it down is quite the challenge. White Dog Games passed that test here. There is enough flavor and overall sense of flow to this version of the First Battle of the Marne to merit your consideration and you can play it in several hours to boot!" - Smithy's Game Table
